For over 90 years, Robina Scott Kindergarten has enriched the lives of many local children in Williamstown and the Hobsons Bay Community. A not-for-profit community run kindergarten, we operate two beautiful campuses for 3 and 4 year old sessional kindergarten in Williamstown, both of which are rated Exceeding by ACECQA. We provide high quality education and care to 200 children in the local community and are a highly sought-after kindergarten. We pride ourselves on our connection to the local community and can regularly be seen on excursions around the local area. Robina Scott Kindergarten's vision is to "empower children to realise their potential".
Our Educators provide high quality educational programs that aim to give each child a broad and rounded experience. Our programs cater for the whole child, including all areas of learning and development. We promote children’s communication skills, build strong, positive self-concept and independence, nurture their curiosity, and most importantly foster an enjoyment of lifelong learning and discovery.

Description
Robina Scott Kindergarten is seeking an Early Childhood Educator who believes that the first few years of early education are fundamental in preparing a child with the skills necessary to becoming a lifelong learner. The applicant’s passion for early childhood education and ability to help each child discover their full potential will put them in good stead for this position.
The successful applicant will develop an environment of positive and trusting relationships with the children, other teachers and educators, parents, the Service Leader and Education Leader and other stakeholders. They will provide a high quality, developmentally appropriate educational program, with culturally rich and welcoming learning environments and activities which are appropriate to the developmental needs and interests of all children including the provision of an accessible and inclusive program for children with a disability.
This position will be an additional educator within our Yellow Group four year old program. With a maximum capacity of 30 children, a team of four qualified staff will work together to deliver a high quality program.
This position will begin on January 27, 2027. Pending the completion of probation and financial viability of the additional educator role, we will seek to engage this position as ongoing from 2028.
Essential Skills
An understanding and knowledge of early childhood development relevant to their level of qualification and position
Ability to assist in the provision of a developmentally appropriate program for the children; in partnership with the early childhood teacher and parents
An ability to plan, reflect, work and manage time effectively with minimal supervision.
Reasonable knowledge and understanding of the National Law and Regulations
An understanding of the Child Safe Standards and the ability to champion these in day to day practice.
Requirements
Certificate III or Diploma or Early Childhood Education and Care qualification suitable for an early childhood educator under the Education and Care Services National Law. Education and Care Services National Regulations and the Department of Education Kindergarten Funding Guide
Hold a current Working with Children Check and be willing to undergo a Police Check
